9th Floor of the Guthrie

One of the best views of Minneapolis is from atop the Guthrie Theater. They have such amazing public spaces there, you don't need to be going to a show to just go in and walk around. It's a big modern maze that's fun to explore, especially at night.

Metrodome Collapse Photo & Video

The Guthrie Theater provides a great view of the collapsed roof of the Metrodome. The only problem is that the widows are wrapped in yellow film, so the quality of the image is affected. Check out the video of the Metrodome roof collapse from the inside:

Skyline Over the Walker

Alas, the Guthrie Theater is gone, but it affords a delightful view of our grand city beyond.

Twins Stadium

The new Target Stadium from the "skyline' $13 seats. It's amazing how they managed to shoe-horn a stadium into a large block between a  railroad, two giant parking lots, two raised roads and a highway. Then they added a commuter rail terminal with a light-rail station above it. Startling how much is going on in this tiny space.

225 South Sixth @ Night

The clouds drifted in nicely to catch the light of the city. The building with the saucer on it (what everyone calls it) is no longer the 1st Bank building nor the US Bankcorp Building, it's really called 225 South Sixth. Very inspiring name Especially considering it's the second tallest building in town. And it's very cool at night from the Foshay Observation Deck. I just learned that it has been renamed, Bill (see comments) just informed me that it's called the Capella Tower. Thanks Bill! Wikipedia Rocks...

AT&T Building Reflections

So modernist, this view reminds me of Mad Men.

Free Crazy

Sometimes you have to pay for it, but this guy is giving it away. Oh the joys of the big city at night.
