About

Mitch Rossow

Ok, so I know I’m supposed to be working, but this is much more fun. I quit my job years ago and refuse to go back. Now I build websites and take pictures for a living. This site started out as a test for a job and ended up as my main hobby.

Turns out, street photography with a small group is a lot like golf. My merry band of miscreants and I get together for a couple of hours, following a course through and area looking for that great shot that will be worth bragging about; the best part is, you don’t have to describe the shot, you can share it — like I do here, every day.

I’m on my fourth digital camera, a Nikon D200. I currently use several lenses for the Mitchster.com shots: Tamron 11-18mm ultra-wide angle, Tamron 28-70 f/2.8, 70-300mm VR Nikon and a 60mm prime macro (Nikon calls it a micro). The macro is my main tool for my fine-art copy work. I photograph oil paintings for several artists. I also have a full studio I use for portraits and product shots.

Thanks for reading and I hope you find a little happiness and education in my posts. Please invite your friends to follow my photo journey with this blog and certainly feel free to comment.

Just stopping to say that I somehow happened upon your blog and I love, LOVE your shots of the Mpls skyline! Actually, I really like a lot of your work. The Spoonbridge & Cherry is great, and the holidazzle photographs are pretty fun, too~ My husband is from K-Town, by the way~ :)
