Wells Fargo Center from ING
The Wells Fargo Center fits nicely under the Arches of the ING building. Originally the Northwestern Life Insurance company building, this 1963 modernist office was designed by Minoru Yamasaki, who also designed the Twin Towers in New York. For another interesting perspective on the Wells Fargo Center (formerly the Norwest Tower) check out the Minneapolis page on Skyscraperpage.com.2
Breakfast at Tiffany's
The only thing better than Breakfast at Tiffany's is Lunch at The Local. While out on photo safari with Rob & Dan, we stopped at The Local for lunch. Every Thursday over the summer, the Minneapolis Farmer's Market sets up downtown on Nicollet. Under the Skyway between 9th and 10th is one of my clients, Tollefson Family Pork. Victorian Tattoo
Look closely, this is an incredible and unique tattoo. When I took this photo, I was looking at her complex accessorization; beads, two phones, headphones, crazy heart glasses and the presence of a tattoo — only as I was processing the photo did I notice how really unusual the tattoo was.11
Synthetic Baseball Fans
The Minnesota Twins are now playing outside at the new Target Field. This billboard just appeared recently on the edge of their property. It's visible from Interstate 394, but only from the back, so today while I was out biking I managed to get a good look at it from the front. It's right at the entrance to the Cedar Corridor Bike Trail downtown, across from Lee's Liquor (see below).
