Bright Colors in a Brown World

The iconic Grain Belt Beer sign sits just across the Mississippi from downtown Minneapolis next to the Hennepin Ave Bridge. The sign used to be lit up at night, I wish they still kept it lit, that would be so much fun to shoot at night.

Awesome reflective snap, Mitchster Meister! Darn, I wish the Mississippi ran thru Eagan!

Hey, that’s my shot! ;) my Pop read that there is a group in MPLS who are looking into relighting the sign. The trouble is $$$.

It’s always a $ thing. If they created a website that took donations (or found a web designer ah-hem to help them), they could promote it, make posters, find people that want to see it again and get a couple $. Do a tie-in promotion with Grain Belt.

These historic old signs need to be kept, restored & enjoyed. I hope they do find a way to raise the dollars. Nice shot Mitch. I can tell you, our sky isn’t anywhere near that shade of blue.
