Stairs, Down by the River

Stairs, Down by the River

Here are the stairs from yesterday’s black & white photo. This photo makes the stairs look unnervingly precarious to climb and you know what? They are in real life too. They are located upriver of the Stone Arch Bridge on the St. Anthony side (East Bank).

It’s not a good place to hang out, but I went with my friend (and fellow blogger) Rob on a weekday morning, so I was safe. Unlike my stupid adventure on Thursday where I fell down a steep tree-covered hill out of site from an trail. I managed to catch a tree with the back of my knee while sliding down head-first. I vow not to climb muddy hills in spring any more, especially alone.

What? You went on a shoot without me?? Hehe .. just kidding, can’t do week days anyway.

Know what you mean about the dangers by the river. Was down there this morning, almost lost my footing. The slopes are muddy, and also in some spots still icy. That water sure looked deep right up to the shore. On another spot the drop off was straight down, probably 50 feet. And then at some bridges, you’re never sure what (or who) you might encounter at the base.
