The Ice is retreating from the the lakes, the dark patches in the water are ice. What’s Cell Phone Sunday all about?

Taken on a cell phone (NO WAY!?!), this pic is sharper and pertier than it has any right to be, but in the magic hands of the Mitchster, anything is possible….
I like the smoothness and symmetry of the ice/water and sky. I’ve messed around with my cell phone cam and never liked the results. I understand your point about the photographer makes the picture, etc., but it’s got such a crappy excuse for a lens! This has got me thinking about situations where poor resolution, sharpness or color accuracy might be an advantage. Low-res B&W can be effective. I’m going to see if my phone cam has a B&W mode.

Shoot in color with the cell, and then convert it in PS or Lightroom. You have more information to work with that way. Also, I am using Lightroom quite heavily on these cell pics. I crank them pretty hard: contrast, color balance, vibrance, clarity, &c.
