For me, It brought to mind a latter section of U2’s “Bad.”

“V for Vendetta” is awful good, but I’m far more a fan of the original comic book (written by Brit, Alan Moore) than the movie adaptation. For more fine exemplification of word manipulation, read most any of Moore’s comic book and graphic novel work, including, “Watchmen,” “Swamp Thing,” “Miracleman,” “The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen,” and “Promethea,” among others.
