I have recently been digging deep into The Replacements history. I recently came across an article that said there was a bench, in a garden, on Lake of the Isles, memorializing Bob Stinson. I was never aware of this and have probably sat on such a bench, unknowingly. So, needless to say I am very curious now. Any chance you can check it out for me, since you seem to be in that area quite a bit? The only garden I can think of would maybe be the area they made into a grasslands area a number of years back on the southeast corner, just south of the Mary Tyler Moore house as you travel the parkway on road. This seems right because I think the bench was donated about 1999/2000. Any research and a pic would be great. Maybe it’s a fun assignment for you?

Thanks again for the great blog and pics. I appreciate your
    outward candidness.

Yes, its at the southern end of Lake of the Isles, The bridge used to be the Soo line and now is a bike trail. The road below is the Lake of the Isles Parkway. Just beyond this bridge is another one that goes over the canal between LOTI and the lagoon.
