Minneapolis Greenway Bridge

This is the Minneapolis Midtown Greenway Bridge. You may recognize this photo, but I wanted to use it for the City Daily Photo Blog Theme: Bridges. This is my first entry in the Theme Day Project.

Oops. I accidentally deleted this post earlier. I was trying to update the list of all the other bridge theme blogs. Here are the comments I deleted as well, sorry guys, I’m still a little green…

Nice choice for the theme. We have a similar cable-stayed bridge in Boston, the Zakim. Happy theme day!
(You’ve been posting some wonderful photos, btw.)

hello! belated welcome to the Daily Photo World, and to the ever-expanding group of DPers in the Twin Cities.
I’ve not seen this particular bridge yet, but hope to get over there some night to shoot it.
Great photo!

Now that is one colorful bridge. Is it real? :)

That’s a bike bridge! Wow impressive - and beautiful colour. Great shot.

Thanks for all the great comments! And the warm welcome to the CDPB!

Oh my! There are even more! You guys are great!

A unique and beautiful photo. The colour is unusual and enhances the structure.

Blueway, not greenway! This is way cool. That green light burst in the middle of the bridge makes the picture. The vertical part looks like a combination beacon and x-ray machine. It’s been 20 years since I was last in the Twin Cities. Where is this located?

The STL CDPB theme day post has a quiz and a contest. Do stop by and enter.

While I’m not too keen on how much was spent for that bike bridge, it really does make for a fantastic photo opportunity. The nighttime is by far, the best time to view this bridge. Very well done.

WOW, Mitch, glad to see you didn’t hold back on the bridge thing. I have to say I think yours is the best shot I’ve seen on the bridge theme. Darnit.

Strangetastes - 01 Dec 07 at 08:32:06

Didn’t I post a comment on this late yesterday, or is my decline more advanced than I thought? The blue-green thing and the radiating lines here are great. It’s got a high-tech look, unnatural and attractive at the same time. Very thoughtful composition.

Oh wow, fantastic! Love the blue color.
Happy theme day!

Oooohh how pretty! :-) Great choice for your first Theme Day Photo!

Ben - 01 Dec 07 at 16:39:23

That a cool blue. It’s almost lie out from the computer game screen. it’s real but unrealistic in some part of my mind. Those neon blue is really something in these days, but I guess enough to seen.

The photo, by the way, it’s really stand out by the perspective and angle you choose. I like it.

mo - 01 Dec 07 at 20:48:46

Love the color!

sam - 01 Dec 07 at 23:27:09

susan - 01 Dec 07 at 23:55:58

Welcome to dp city theme day. What a supurb entry. Is this bridge lit up blue or did you enhace the photo? Either way, its spectacular.

isabella - 02 Dec 07 at 14:12:23

gbenz - 04 Dec 07 at 11:04:31

Pretty ironic, I shot this on the way home from the Hollidazzle shoot (although my lens got frosted and I didn’t catch it until I got home). Nice work!
